5.x 系での起動トリック

ACPI サポートを切る

/boot/device.hints のファイル終端に hint.acpi.0.disabled="1" を追加。

APM サポートを入れる

/boot/device.hints の中に hint.apm.0.disabled="0" を追加。 /boot/loader.conf に apm_load="YES" を記述。 /stand/sysinstall から Configure → Startup で APM にチェック。

サウンドを入れる

ハンドブック通りに とりあえず kldkoad snd_driver して dmesg 出して確認しておいて、 そのモジュールを起動時に読み込むように /boot/loader.conf に

snd_cs4281_load="YES"

のように書いてやればＯＫ。

デーモン君AA をカラーに

/boot/loader.conf で loader_color="YES" を指定。

デーモン君AA を抑止

/boot/loader.conf で beastie_disable="YES" を指定。

ACPI で機体の温度を見る (5.x以降)

ACPI つながりということで。

ACPI で機体の温度が見える。hw.acpi.thermal.tz0.temperature で 5.3 まではケルビン値が、5.4 以降では摂氏が得られる。

（5.3 の場合）

（5.4 の場合）
