They had been married 40 years until his death in 1998. She worked as a secretary for the United States Census Bureau for many years. An active member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church,she worked diligently with the ladies ; group. She enjoyed knitting, crabbing, fishing and hunting. An avid NASCAR fan, 48, Jimmy Johnson, was a favorite. She loved her dog, Missy and was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
