The last thing we want to do is close recreation centers to the people of this city, said Parks and Recreation director Larry Zehnder.He said he was asked by city officials where cuts in the Parks and Recreation budget could be made and reluctantly recommended the pool and the Wyatt Center because of decreased activity.The Carver pool had about 1,700 visitors last summer, and the Wyatt Center had about 18,000 annually, city figures show.
