はじめに／管理人について
ここはLiveJournal（ライブジャーナル）という、アメリカ／英語圏を中心として世界中にユーザーがいるウェブログ（ブログ）サービスの、非公式な日本語マニュアルサイトです。
LiveJournalは、本家でも翻訳チームが日本語化をすすめていますが、まだ不完全で、日本語ネイティブにはちょっととっつきにくいところがあります。
また、僭越ながら基本的な「まずどこを見ればいいのか」が判りづらく、自分自身、初めての時はアレコレ迷いましたし、知人をユーザに引き込む際にも、改めてそれを実感してしまいました。現在は日本でも「ブログ」の普及で、ずいぶん使い方の見当がつきやすくなったのではないかと思いますが、それでも英語の壁はまだまだ大きいと思います。
そこで、その時に友人に宛てて書いたものなどを元に、少しでも、これからLiveJournalを始めようという方のお役に立てればと思い、サイトに上げることにしました。
色々と勘違いや知識不足も多く、冷や汗をかきながら右往左往していますが、「マニュアル」なので、初めてＬＪに出会った頃の疑問や戸惑いを忘れないように、何とか書いていきたいと思います。

多 少： 日本人。愛知県名古屋市にずっと在住。03年夏ごろ、何の因果かLiveJournalと出会い、以来、「デザインがイマイチ」などとヒネクレたことを言いながらも、妙に肩入れしている。
英語はWeb辞書を片手に何とか読めますが、特に堪能というわけでもありません。
にも関わらずこんなサイトを作っているのもどうかと思いますが、ないよりはマシではないかと開き直って、何とか続けています。

About: A Japanese
born and living in Nagoya, Japan. I came across LiveJournal
in 2003, maybe around July, and having been messing around it since then.
I know there's LJ Japanese Translation Team
and
they are working on the translation, but it hasn't
done much yet (Um, I'm a member of the team, though), and I think LJ is a bit
difficult to understand and get started
for
Japanese
who
is
not
used
to using English very much.
I realized it again when I had tried to invite
my friends.
Also, I had started writing a short series of little essays about how-to-use-LJ,
for a local freepaper (Unfortunately, I'm not a proffecional writer. It was
just because I knew an editor
and the person asked
me if
I could
write something interesting-- well, anything. So, I decided to write about
LJ, because a) I was enjoying LJ's features, b)
LJ was/is not popular in Japan.) and, I felt like it was a bit of a waste
not to reuse the instruction I wrote.
So, naturally, I setup this website in hope of the increase of Japanese users.
Honestly, I've been feeling rather insecure because I'm not good at English
very much (as you see), and not a super LJ user. There is a lot of features
I'm not sure how it works.
I'm careless and tend to make serious mistakes, even. :-P
However, since
I started this website anyway and "better
than nothing" I
suppose, I'd like to
keep updating as long as I can. :-)
