AUBE / METALIVE
This CD consists of 3 tracks that
AUBE generated using sounds of metal in live.
Two of them are remastered
works of materials appeared in smaller edition years ago.
The first track
was recorded at Seehaus Club, Plauen, Germany in 1997.
It is a documentation
during the first European tour of AUBE, and has once been included
in a split
CD-R with Source Direkt, which was specially added to a split single by same
combination.
In spite of public appearance of the music in such a small
number of edition,
the music is important since it exhibits quite unique
side of AUBE never expressed elsewhere.
The term "Heavy-Metalic Minimal
Ambient" should fit for the music to be expressed.
Sound movement in it
reminds us of "Vermiculation" of some internal organs.
The organs should be
made with sound, metal and spirit.
The second track comes from the 2nd
benefit concert for supporting people
suffered from 1995 Hanshin-Awaji
Earthquake at Yamamura Salon, Ashiya, Japan in 1998.
This is a remastered
track of live-recorded music which was published twice in the past.
The
first medium was a split cassette with Nagisa Ni Te
[G.R.O.S.S./Yamamura
Salon/Org Records丄GRYS03/ORGCS-2].
It was made in limited edition of 117 on
May 3rd, 1999 as a gift to audiences
coming to the 3rd benefit concert at
Yamamura Salon.
The second medium for this tune was one of AUBE Live CD-R
Series entitled "MDML98"
{G.R.O.S.S.丄GRL-005] in limited edition of 150,
published in 2001.
The track was entitled "Metalmolification" in this
occasion.
The music reflects "Floating Spirit of Metal", and would be most
appropriate as
an embodiment of "Electronic Zen", a term with which European
people expressed AUBE music.
Through 2 times of remastering, the music
appeared with no specific title in this DC.
The remastering would be a
process to change the existence of music itself.
The 3rd track has never
been appeared on any recorded medium in public.
The origin of music was
recorded in live during the 2nd European tour of AUBE in 1998.
The location
of the recording was C.U.B.A., Munster, Germany.
An excerpt of music was
remastered and appeared here.
This cool track represents another
phenomenon intimating the concept of "Electronic Zen".
Metal sounds are
metamorphosed from organic pulses reminding us of blood flow
to some floating
of spirits - the spirits of metals.
Let us play this tune in a midsummer
night.
It might recall inner power from dark side of your
brain.
The illustration used on this CD should be
mentioned.
The illustrator who did surprising jobs for the outer/inner cover
and
the label of the CD is Yuji Kaida.
He is an absolute one of the
leading illustrators for Japanese SF and monster stuffs.
Among the
outstanding works of Kaida, cover illustrations of packages for
GUNDAM
plastic models might symbolize his passion and skill.
The number of
illustrations for GUNDAM model packages
is apparently over one
hundred.
Kaida listened to the AUBE music in this CD and created the
image on the cover.
It is a pure result from his imagination and meditation
induced
through the listening experience.
The image looks like a scene
of prophecy.
The metal-like object is floating in spite of its heaviness as a
material.
The power making it float might be a cluster of idea generated from
residents in the urban.
The floating should be a result of will of people
minding the change of the urban.
And the object itself looks like a
brain.
Please enjoy this CD as the 2nd release from
NEUREC,
following the compilation CD "AUBE, Nagisa Ni Te, Naoki Zushi/Orbital
Confluence".
