This lighthouse was built on an observatory as a symbol of Sakata Harbor.
I was able to go up the observatory by an elevator.
I expected a beautiful sunset, but the sky clouded over and was disappointing.

Sakata Old Lighthouse
2003.8	This wooden lighthouse was built on the left bank of the Mogami river in 1895. After the modern lighthouse was built in Takasago area. This old one was moved here in memory of its good work for 63 years. (40 feet high, 60 feet around)
