It is built by a request from "Meiji" new government in those days
by "Francois Leon berny" of the French engineer who was a chief of
"Yokosuka" ironworks.
A lighthouse of those days is beauty to be French in a square
European-style building made by a brick.

A current lighthouse is the third generation.
(the past twice collapsed by an earthquake disaster)
