Patchworks No.2

A Marin Storm
It is a interesting work using an optical illusion. Although all patchwork is made of linear pieces, it looks as if they were curves. Since the picture is unclear, please enlarge it and have a good look.

Indian Wreath
My favorite work is given to my granddaughter who lives in the United States, and is used as the bed quilt in the guest room. This pattern is designed in U.S in the late 19th century. The whole surface is quilted finely by hand and it turned out very beautiful. I was impressed by myself. How young I was.i220~240)

Drunkad's Path
It consists of curves might be called Drunkard's path. I made this quilt with the remainder of the old cotton fabric which made "Hawaiian Quilt". I did quilt the border and arranged Japanese traditional motifs such as sayagata, asanoha , sippou, bundou. Please click the picture, you will see some quilting patterns. .i220~236j

Pandora's Box
In those days, I have plenty of fabrics on hand. I made it using only the rest of the fabric. Every piece is fairly fine. Is it unclear from this picture? Since I decided it made with the remaining, I had to finish it halfway. Now it is hanging on the sofa of my mountain villa.i160~180j

Autumn
I had a look at the catalog at the quilt shop in the U.S. and fell in love with it. So I have bought material in autumn of 2002. It was a pre-printed panel and I did only the log cabin on the background. But to make the log cabin, I needed a number of fabrics. So I bought some more. (190~196)

Kaleidoscope
One of my fiend gave some batik to me. The batik is the very famous hand printed cloth in Singapore. I asked my instructor what to do. She said that she had some batik and gave me in large quantity. I thought I could use many colors. It became the largest one. ‚vhat shall I do with it?(230~260)
