エサの与え方 (How to give food)

何でもよく食べ、 大食漢なので、安価なコイのエサが最適。　我が家の日常管理としては、コイのエサと煮干しをメインに与え、週に1度冷凍アジを与えている。(Cheap food, such as food of fancy carp, is the most suitable because this fish eats anything well and it is a glutton. Carp food, dried small sardineis or frozen horse-mackerel being given as a daily treat in my house.)

混泳 (Keeping with other fishes)

アロワナ、ダトニオ、キャットフィッシュ等の大型魚と混泳可能です。ただし、体長が同じくらいなければ食われてしまいます。(This fish can keep with the large fish such as arowana, Siam tiger fish and catfish etc.)

飼育上の留意点 (A notice point in breeding)

成長が早く大きくなるので、大型水槽が必要である。(A large water tank is necessary because this fish grows quickly and becomes big.)
