エサの与え方 (How to give food)

何でもよく食べ、 大食漢なので、安価なコイのエサが最適。　我が家の日常管理としては、コイのエサや煮干しを与えている。(Cheap food, such as food of fancy carp, is the most suitable because this fish eats anything well and it is a glutton. Carp food is being given as a daily treat in my house. Dried small sardine is sometimes being given.)

混泳 (Keeping with other fishes)

性格はおとなしいので、アロワナ、ダトニオ、キャットフィッシュ等の大型魚と混泳可能です。(Because character of this fish is gentle, it can keep with the large fish such as arowana, Siam tiger fish, catfish etc.)

飼育上の留意点 (A notice point in breeding)

成長が早く、遊泳力もあるので、大型水槽でゆったりと育てることが好ましい。よく、水槽にぶつかり、怪我をする。(Because this fish grows quickly and has the swimming power, too, it is desirable to raise it comfortably in the large water tank. Often, this fish hits a water tank and gets hurt.)
