UV optics for planet photo
It is possible to take UV images of planets owing CCD's high sensitivity. One of the most important things for UV photo is transmission of optics. Alminum of mirror reflects UV very well and BK7 transes UV enough, so Newton telescope or SCT can be suitable for UV imaging. Don't forget that extending images is needed by barlow lenses or eyepieces for planet imaging, .
There are some kinds of barlow lenes. The most popular one is doublet, and others are triplet and more lenses. Doublet barlow lenses consist of BK7 and SF2. SF2 cannot trans UV, so doublet barlow lenses are not good. However, transmission of triplet one is good enough in UV. See the transmission of two barlow lenses.
